This building is conceived simply as a new inhabitant of the neighborhood, integrating into its context with calmness and dignity. The deliberately restrained treatment of its image avoids any superfluous effect.

Facing the departmental road, the building expresses its urban character with a certain presence through a single, clear gesture; toward the interior, it reveals the volumetric complexity of domestic space, opening its loggias and balconies toward optimal orientations, its garden, and the surrounding suburban fabric.
Timber construction offers several advantages compared to so-called “traditional” building techniques: lightness, speed of construction, carbon storage, thermal inertia and phase shift, hygrometric regulation, and reduced waste and disturbance during construction, among others. In this project, except for the basement and part of the ground floor, the structure is made of cross-laminated solid timber (CLT) walls, party walls, and slabs.
