Special Jury Prize for innovative approach for our Relais Italie project, Paris XIII
From the jury’s report:
” The Relais Italie, which emerged from the Réinventer Paris competition, embodies an innovative model for the redevelopment of urban heritage through off-site construction. By raising the height of a former conservatory using 18 3D timber-framed modules, the project combines controlled densification, environmental performance and speed of execution (installed in six nights). The project demonstrates the ability of off-site construction to create vertical diversity (housing, culture, work, leisure) while limiting nuisance and construction waste. The off-site approach used thanks to the modular design is reversible and scalable. The off-site rate of 95% for the new part is remarkable. It was supported by BIM, illustrating a virtuous and replicable approach. Combining technical innovation, architectural sobriety and social commitment, Relais Italie stands out as a benchmark for sustainable and inclusive cities.”
We warmly thank all those who contributed to the realization of this project, as well as the l’Association Filière Hors-Site France and Conseil National de l’Ordre des Architectes, for this recognition and acknowledgment.
