On the occasion of Forum Bois Construction 2026, held in February in the main nave of the Grand Palais in Paris, we presented two projects illustrating different approaches to timber construction and urban rehabilitation.
The restructuring and extension of the headquarters of Secours populaire français makes predominant use of hardwoods. It combines several construction techniques, including a post-and-beam structure, timber-frame façades (FOB), timber-frame walls (MOB), and timber cladding.
Presented as part of the French National Off-Site Prize 2025, the Relais Italie project (Paris 13ᵉ) explores the potential of prefabrication through three-dimensional modules with small-section timber structures.
