Restructuring and upgrading a school campus to meet current educational and safety standards. The project comprised a kindergarten, a primary school, and a middle school, distributed across several buildings operating independently, while increasing the campus capacity from 700 to 900 students.
Client: City and Department of Paris – SLA du 18e (DASCO, Parks and Gardens Department)
Programme: Refurbishment and extension of the Vauvenargues–Agutte–Berlioz school campus and middle school, with the facilities remaining fully operational throughout the construction works.
Budget: €6.0 million (excl. VAT)
Surface: 8,000 m²
The project required exceptional construction logistics, including the use of a lifting system without a permanently overhanging jib and the management of a highly complex phasing strategy involving the school community, City of Paris departments, utility providers, and safety authorities. Different parts of the campus were delivered progressively as construction advanced, allowing the educational facilities to remain operational throughout the works.
